I should probably update Tumblr about how/what I’m doing (or not doing) right now, but I’m putting that aside because a person who’s very important to me is in a very bad place, in a literal sense, and I’m hoping somebody can give him a safer place to live for a while, so he (and I) can have a better chance of not feeling like shit. Despite various efforts to be anywhere else after receiving his philosophy degree, metapianycist is in his parents’ house. I was able to convince my father let him stay here with me at his house for a week in May, but I doubt I’ll pull it off again, and his few friends in New York cannot have guests for various reasons. The fact that metapiancyist is at his parents’ house is really bad, because:
His sister has a history of violence toward him and a creepy boyfriend who interrogates him about what it’s like to be trans, and his mother and sister both expect him to be open toward his sister and completely trusting of her.
The food he can access there consists mainly of Pop-Tarts, instant ramen, and the like.
He has to hide his antidepressants and might have to stop taking them if they were discovered.
Sleeping in his mother’s room (as he doesn’t have his own) means he has very little privacy, though she sleeps either in the living room or at a different time of day, and she vocally disapproves of everything about his life.
His mother forces him to attend family gatherings that make him highly uncomfortable, and at one of these he is going to meet his vehemently heterosexist aunt who is the only person in the family who does not yet know he is trans (because nobody feels like telling her).
His father seems to be resentful of everyone in the house, but apparently has nowhere else to live.
Whenever he leaves the house to access the Internet, take a walk, and get away from his relatives, he faces harassment from random people on the street, because his parents live in a horrible town.
He has no friends in the immediate area.
He is currently trying to get a job somewhere in New York city, which is about twenty minutes from where he is by bus/train, but he has difficulty approaching the application process as an autistic person, and employment prospects for autistic trans people with depression is significantly lower than the average. In the meantime, he has $60 total and no way of earning more money.
If anyone has any space to offer or any job leads (especially in New York City or the immediate area), they should either respond to this post or contact metapianycist through Tumblr.
Also, I hope a few of you will consider reblogging this, as I have only 76 followers.
I REALLY DON-T KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED TO MY COMPUTER
THE CONTENT OF MZ DESKTOP DISAPPEARED AND ALL THE FILES IN MY BIBLIOTHEQUE (I DONT KNOW HOW YOU SAY THIS IN ENGLISH) AND THE TOUCHES (WELL I THINK YOU USE ANOTHER WORD IN ENGLISH) OF MZ KEYBOARD… IT DOESN-T MAKE WHAT IT-S SUPPOSED TO DO, AS YOU CAN SEE AS I TYPE THIS. (IT ALSO KEEP INTERVERTING THE Y AND THE Z)
I DON-T KNOW IF THERE IS A VIRUS OR IF I HAVE BEEN HACKED
Aaaarrrrrgggghhh PEOPLE I FOLLOW STOP BLOGGING THAT MUCH.
I CAAAAAAAAN’T FOLLOW YOU, YOU’RE TOO FAST AND I HAVE ALREADY 2006 DRAFTS I INTEND TO REBLOG…. BUT I DON’T REBLOG ANY BECAUSE I DON’T HAVE THE TIME AND I AM ALREADY GOING TO BED TOO LATE, AND IT BECOMES REALLY DIFFICULT AT MY WORK…
HOW DO YOU DO TUMBLR SERIOUSLY ?
(Well if I have difficulties following it’s also because of the dvds I watch but still… and how do you find the energy to, you know, write?)
My knee has been dislocated (which is what happened last time,) and is swollen to almost twice its size. It will probably need surgery to correct it, because it is at least grade IV. The kneecap is floating, and can be moved over an inch side to side and up and down. I have fallen twice since I got re-injured two weeks ago, and can barely walk.
I’ve already had one surgery, and the pain keeps me up all night. Every time I walk, my knee makes an audible clicking sound, and it’s painful.
Last time this happened, I needed patellar dislocation and subluxation surgery, and had to have bone chips removed because my knee shattered.
Hopefully, I won’t need surgery again, but it’s highly likely. Even if I don’t, I can’t really afford to go to the doctor, get medication, or pay for physical therapy, much less the surgery. ($3000 last time.)
I know I might not get much, and I don’t plan on asking again, but even a few dollars would help. Anything would. Signal boosting, anything. Even if I only make $6, it will help more than you can possibly imagine.
^ My knee right now, complete with the surgery scar from before. It required arthroscopic surgery as well as the larger scar that is easier to see. And, as you can see, the knee is very swollen and slightly discolored. The glossy stuff is Vitamin E oil.
MA Little girl, 3 yrs. old picked up by a man driving a gray car, license plate: Quebec 72B 381. Canada. Reblog this. It could save her. The Kidnapping is recent so do it, 3 seconds will not kill you. If it were your child.
If you’re on Twitter, join the #CaptionTHIS protest tomorrow. People will be tweeting at TV networks and web video producers using that hashtag, in an effort to convince them to make their programming accessible.
I’m already planning on tweeting @NickelodeonTV, for instance. The main reason I’ve been posting captioning rips from Legend of Korra is because, if you require captions, there is no place to watch the show online and be able to follow the dialogue. Amazon? iTunes? Nickelodeon’s own web site? Not one of them includes the captions that the show was broadcast with.
More information on the movement is in this YouTube video. Which, naturally, is captioned— and, in fact, is also silent. (For screen-reader users, there’s a full transcript included in the description at YouTube.)
[Edit: Fixed URL for the video above. D’oh.]
I’m not on Twitter… it’s probably too late, but signal boost anyway!
Dear everyone: stop starting petitions for CeCe without consulting with her or her support committee. It’s not about you. #freecece
Let’s please respect CeCe’s wishes and the work of those on the ground trying to help her.
Oh shit, kicking myself for not following the source on this one. Cece should absolutely have as much control as possible over her PR strategy and none of us(!!!! D:) should be taking that away from her.
Eeep, yeah, good point. Thanks, and I apologize.
Oops. My apologies.
Ouch, really sorry… I…
Well please pass the message, if you can reblog this
please take a moment to sign this petition and to pass it on.
It asks that CeCe serve her time in a women’s prison rather than a men’s facility, where she is currently set to serve her time.
F: come on guys, this is a brand new petition, get it going! The shit women get when they are placed in the men’s section of prison, the comodification, rape, humiliation for their being trans - nope, not happening.
Sign & share. CeCe should not be in prison at all, but putting her in a men’s prison, that’s just…no. No no no.
The above article is an update. Her mother went to appeal to keep her out of the psychiatric ward and lost. She will be institutionalized because of her expression of her gender. She will be held until she conforms to male gender and then released to foster care, not her mother who was supporting her.
Please, if you haven’t signed the petition, sign it, reblog it, ask your friends to sign it. We’ve managed to get 40K signatures for a pageant model, we’ve only gotten 11K for a little girl about to have her life ruined. Lets get on the ball and spread the word.
…Plainly we’re accelerating more quickly downslope toward that sort of Singularity where life gets more and more like fiction.
…Don’t know about the rest of you, but I kind of like it. :)
Yeah, and then Sherlock will turn into a dragon and confront Dr Watson who is still helping Gandalf* (who at that time hadn’t yet been betrayed by Count Dooku!(or Dracula, or Dr Wonka, or the Jabberwocky, or… Sir Henry Baskerville/Mycroft Holmes WTF???? as you prefer)) but apparently is no more Sherlock’s friend!!!!
but SPOILER (The Hobbit):
Actually Sherlock will be kill, not by watson but by Aramis the Musketeer who is apparently also both Zeus and Apollo at the same time!!!!
And did I mention that during that time our good doctor also meet King Kong who apparently is also Caesar which is weird because I didn’t know that a Giant Gorilla could suddenly turn into a Chimp genius… ah the mysteries of puberty!!! (but when he turn into a bearded alcoholic captain…. evolution? very weird evolution? Darwin Help!!!)
*And did I mention that he also is friend with the Agent Smith who apparently is also secretely Vendetta when he doesn’t go with his friends General Zod and King Edward VIII in a tour bus called Priscilla
I love the weird world of Cinema and TV, phew I could continue this for ages!!!!
