The Genderqueer flag.
The lavender stripe, mixing blue and pink (traditional male and female colors, also present on the trans flag) is meant to represent those under the GQ umbrella who feel they are both male and female in identity as well as “queerness.” Lavender has long been associated with homosexuality and bisexuality.
Dark chartreuse green, the inverse of the lavender color, is meant to represent GQ individuals who feel they are neither male nor female in identity.
The white stripe is meant to represent GQ individuals falling completely outside of the gender binary.
Sorry if I’m sharing the obvious but I’ve seen this flag for the first time today (what I find rather shameful as I identify as a genderqueer) and I’m stunned by its’ beauty and thoughtfulness.

ok, so there is either no one at all talking about agenders and genderqueers in French, or I’m really, really crap at researching stuff on the internet.
And I think I’ll try something other than google for this because it’s “suggested corrections” are annoying. For “agenre” (agender) it keeps giving me links to “agence” (agency) and just… aaaaaargh!
It is extremely frustrating I want to know how other people handle things here. But I guess I’m asking too much…

Anyway, if you’re agender you would not be cis.
There is obviously some amount of privilege—or at the very least something very similar to privilege but not quite—if you pass as cis and can function as cis consistently. But it’s still not the same as being cis.

Thank You, thank you so much ! At first I only knew about the cissexist and ciscentrist model of Sex and Gender, and assumed I was a male because of the genitals, but since now I know better, I just realized that I in fact don’t really identify with either gender of the binarist model, so yeah I think I’m agender, but I didn’t mention it a lot to people around me and I’m still perceived as male…
I don’t know how to end the post.

Argentina JUST PASSED a groundbreaking gender identity bill!!!
From now on, people will be able to change the name and gender on their ID without needing psychiatric permission or any body modifications. Furthermore, anyone who does want hormones or surgery will be able to access them for free through the public and private health system.
It was passed unanimously today by the Senate :-D
OK this has got me really emotional. This is fucking beautiful. Other countries take note. Oh gosh this is just the best thing I’ve had on my dash all day.
